Okay, maybe the title is a little clickbaity… but Le Bar A Boeuf is truly my favorite French restaurant in Cincinnati! Founded by the late legendary chef Jean Robert, this place continues to honor his legacy with classic French dishes. 👨🍳✨ The servers are incredibly knowledgeable and will guide you through the wine and menu with care. That said, the décor feels a bit dated, and the staff — while utterly charming — are mostly older (sweet grandpa vibes 🥲), which sometimes means slower or hesitant service. We even noticed some plates weren’t fully clean — maybe a sign of an older kitchen crew, too? 👀 But look — none of that overshadows the outstanding food! Here’s what we tried: 🐌 Escargot – Classic garlic butter snails, perfect with fresh bread. 🍾 Foie Gras (Special) – Not always on the menu, but I get it almost every time. Rich, buttery, glorious! 🦞 Lobster Mac ’n’ Cheese – Not strictly French, but delicious with generous chunks of lobster. 🔸 Seared Scallops – Perfectly cooked over creamy risotto.
