🇫🇷 Lyon, France | Affordable Bouchon Hidden in the Old Town 🍴

When in Lyon, France, you must try the local "Bouchon Lyonnais" – a traditional Lyonnaise bistro full of regional charm 🍴 This little restaurant was really crowded! We went past peak hours and only had to wait for 2 tables before getting a seat. We ordered 2 of Lyon's classic dishes. 🥘 Featured dishes: French onion soup: A classic starter with a rich broth and satisfyingly stretchy cheese 🧀 Lyonnaise tripe with tomatoes: A local specialty, but it was too salty – not particularly tasty. Andouillette (sausage): Stuffed with small intestines, this main course is served with traditional mustard sauce. The strong offal flavor might not be for everyone – hard to describe! If you can handle sweetness, French desserts rarely disappoint, and these were no exception. One standout was the tarte aux pralines (sugared almond tart), a traditional Lyonnaise dessert. If the waiter hadn’t recommended it, I wouldn’t have thought to try it on the street – the color is quite unique! But it was surprisingly delicious – not overly sweet, with a lovely almond aroma. 💰 Great value for money: 3-course meal for 19.9€ per person. No wonder there’s a long queue! The taste was just so-so though – the main courses were on the salty side. There must be better options out there Lyon#Lyon #Post #France #FranceTravel #LyonFrance #LyonFood #TraditionalBistro#Lyon #PostResignationTravel #LyonTourism
