🇫🇷 Lyon: Great Eats via Google Maps (Even Without a Paul Bocuse Reservation!)👉👈 I didn’t get a booking at the iconic Paul Bocuse restaurant for this last-minute trip, but thanks to Google Maps, every spot I tried was a hit—especially the Bocuse Market, which was a dream for market lovers like me!🙊🙊 1️⃣ Cafe Terroir 📌 14 Rue d'Amboise, 69002 Lyon The many photos say it all—I was so impressed! The food is fantastic, and their wine list features tons of premium bottles. 🏵️ There’s a wine cellar downstairs, and it’s also great for group private dining. We ordered spring vegetables, snails, and sausage—simple dishes, but incredibly delicious.🍒 2️⃣ Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse 📌 102 Cr Lafayette F, 69003 Lyon It’s not a restaurant, but a beautifully curated market. Even though Chef Bocuse is no longer with us, his influence still runs deep. 🌸 🌳🌳You can find loads of classic Lyon specialties here: various terrines, pâtés, cooked meats, plus seafood like oysters, lobsters, and prawns. I went two days in a row—either for breakfast or lunch. Buying food here to enjoy on a picnic is also a great idea! Just note: Many shops are closed on Mondays, so don’t show up empty-handed. 3️⃣ Bellie 📌 61 Rue Mercière, 69002 Lyon The most modern spot on this list, and still really good. I recommend the currywurst and grilled octopus—just a heads-up: no one here speaks a word of English!🍞 4️⃣ Le bistrot d'abel 📌 49 Rue de la Bourse 47, 69002 Lyon This seems to be a century-old bistro. True to France, the morel mushrooms here have a much richer flavor than those in the UK—every bite is packed with savory sauce.🍊🍊 5️⃣ Abstract 📌 2 Rue Duroc, 69001 Lyon A hillside bar that looked promising. Unfortunately, it was a guest shift when I visited, and the drinks ended up tasting just like those from London bars (not a bad thing, but not what I expected for Lyon!). Lyon is such a food paradise—this trip was all about eating, and I can’t wait to come back!❤️❤️ #HiddenGemRestaurants #MyMichelinFaves #DailyDrinks #Lyon #PaulBocuse #LyonRestaurantRecommendations #EuropeFoodTrip
