🇬🇧 Birmingham Day Trip — Coventry 🚂
Took the train from Birmingham New Street Station →Coventry in just 20 minutes! 🎫 Open return ticket cost less than £5. We arrived around 11 AM and headed back by 3 PM — perfect for a half-day trip! ⏳👌 Route: Most attractions are within walking distance 🚶♀️💫 🍎 Coventry Market A huge local market — got a bit lost in there! 🥦🍊 Sells fresh produce, fruits, and even has a Chinese supermarket! Very well-stalled. 🛍️ Coventry City Centre Classic malls and chain stores — busy and lively! ⛪ Holy Trinity Church They even had a thoughtful paper guide in Chinese! 📜❤️ The stained-glass windows here are absolutely mesmerizing every time. ✨ 🏛️ St Michael’s Cathedral Ruins Partially destroyed during the war — full of historical atmosphere and stories. 🖼️ Herbert Art Gallery & Museum No booking needed — just walk in! 🎨 Exhibits cover Coventry’s history, oil paintings, and vintage items — highly recommended for history and art lovers. 🦢 Swanswell Park & Pool Lots of swans and ducks! 🦆🌿 ⚠️ But careful — there are many horse chestnut trees 🌳🌰 (we mistook them for edible chestnuts and collected some… luckily we checked — they’re toxic! 😱) 🚗 Coventry Transport Museum Car enthusiasts would love this! 🏎️ We didn’t go in as tickets were required. 🛒 Charity Shops On the way back to the station, we popped into some shops and charity stores — so fun to browse! I found a super beautiful copy of Aesop’s Fables for just 20p! 📖💷😂 Also felt like there’s a big Chinese community here — saw lots of shops with Chinese signs 🥢👀 #UKDayTrips #Birmingham #Coventry #BirminghamDayTrip #ExploreUK
