After draining all my introvert energy during freshers' week socials, the name "Hastings" suddenly popped into my mind post-Friday-party. Ten minutes later, the spontaneous trip was booked—a solo escape to the coast. Though I first knew Hastings only through the Norman Conquest (hello, history student life 🏰), stepping out of the train station and seeing cliffside red-roofed houses instantly shattered any dusty textbook imaginings. Centuries had rewritten this place into something magically alive. 🌊 The Solo Wander With just a backpack, I walked the pebble beach, letting the rhythm of waves and shrieking seagulls dissolve my thoughts.
