🇬🇧 Northern Ireland | 3 Days & 2 Nights in Belfast (Leisurely Guide)

Weekend getaway idea! Since my friend’s Schengen visa wasn’t valid yet, we decided to explore Northern Ireland – no visa needed! 😍 Having an organized travel buddy was a LIFE SAVER – love my friends sm!! 💖 — 📍 Itinerary Day 1️⃣ City Hall – Titanic Museum Morning: Flew from Newcastle to Belfast – just 50 mins ✈️! The airport bus is right outside – you can buy round-trip tickets (£12.50) or one-way (£8.50) on Translink 🚍 (or pay on the bus). Recommend round-trip! City Hall is free to enter 🏛️ – they offer 1-hour guided tours (but you have to stay with the group since it’s still a functioning government building). Afternoon: Titanic Museum 🚢 – student tickets are £19! Book in advance! We didn’t, so we ended up shopping at the gift store 😂. Then headed to the seaside for photos – so pretty! 🌊📸 Day 2️⃣ Giant’s Causeway (Day Tour) Bought tickets online in advance – £25/person! Departs at 9:30 AM – arrive early to snag a seat with a good view 🚍. Tour route: Castle 🏰 – Giant’s Causeway – Dark Hedges (Game of Thrones spot!) Lunch at a small café 🍽️ – classic "white people food" 😅. Got a beef & chicken platter + drink (£16). How was it?… let’s just say the portion was big. We had a mix-up 😬: the driver said 3:50, we heard 4:10 (past vs. to – oops!). Missed the bus! Luckily, another tour company kindly gave us a ride back – but I ended up sitting on the bus floor for an hour 🥲. Not fun! Day 3️⃣ Museum – Queen’s University – Big Fish 🐟 Wanted to visit the market, but it’s only open on weekends 🥺. So we explored Queen’s University 🎓 and saw the iconic Big Fish before heading back! — 🏠 Accommodation Booked a Airbnb via Booking.com: Belfast City Centre, BT2 8LX The host was nice – but the heating wasn’t great 😣. Had to manually restart it every 4-5 hours or you’d freeze at night! Not ideal. 🚌 Transport Mainly buses – the city center is pretty walkable! 🍜 Food HIGHLY recommend the Chinese food!! 😭❤️ Still missing Belfast’s Chinese cuisine and bubble tea after returning to Newcastle! #Belfast #QueensUniversityBelfast #BelfastTravel #BelfastFood #GiantsCauseway
