An absolute beauty nestled on top of an equally beautiful uphill neighbourhood.
The Donegall ancestry knew class!
The BELFAST castle is built within the deer park and is the first landmark uphill towards Cavehill, Limestone Quarry and some Estate property lines.
The garden is manicured to look stunning from within the castle.
The ceiling to floor windows let in a mesmerizing distant view of the Lagan, the sprawling farmlands on the horizon, the bustling city entwined with her lazy suburbs.
A view worth enjoying with a quiet glass of beer or wine to classical piano.
The City Council has done a great job restoring this magnificent heritage and has kept it open for the public.
The staff they've hired are polite and in such nice spirits ! Had a wonderful conversation with Mr. John, such an insightful man with a funny bone!
The ballroom immediately brings to mind elegant wedding parties, ballroom events and ballet recitals.
I recommend the City council hold a high achievers only (native+immigrants) Annual Ball to encourage the spirits of people who truly do their best everyday to make Belfast an International hub of knowledge exchange, economy and Business and hold an honorary segment for the local farmers and butchers to whom this warm city owes their...

But let’s be honest, I was mostly there to find all nine cats so I could say I completed the prophecy.
Highly recommend for nature lovers, castle dreamers, and anyone who respects a well deserved catcentric legacy. Just remember: the cat is...

Belfast Castle is not your typical looking castle. It looks more like a mansion you would find on the east coast of the United States. Old world style mansions as we refer to them state side. The castle and its grounds are well maintained and a great way to spend a few hours.
A fun thing about the castle is, other than exploring the castle and grounds, is to play scavenger hunt for the 9 hidden cats. These are either images, tile work, or sculptures throughout the castle.
The garden was our favorite parts of the castle as there was an amazing variety of flowers in bloom. There is also plenty of benches in the garden so you can just sit and relax if you had a long...
