🇬🇧 Study Abroad Sharing | Hidden Gem Stores in Coventry City Centre
I’ve been in Coventry for a few days and explored some shops in the city centre. Besides big chain supermarkets, there are several smaller stores where you can buy daily necessities. Since there’s no IKEA here, it’s a bit challenging to get everything in one go – especially for those who’ve just arrived in the UK! 🛒🧳 🏪 BM Home Store This place has almost everything you need – quilts, blankets, small appliances, light bulbs, batteries… you name it! The quality looks pretty decent too. 💡🧴 🧼 Savers Mostly cleaning supplies for all kinds of household needs. Prices are generally a bit cheaper than big supermarkets. 🧽✨ 🛍️ OneBeyond Like a sibling of Poundland – lots of daily items at super low prices. Quality is just okay, but it’s really affordable! 💷 🥦 Coventry Market Feels like a traditional farmers' market – veg stalls, meat counters, even a flower shop! Not sure about the quality, but the variety is great. There’s also a Chinese supermarket with a very friendly owner and slightly lower prices than other Asian stores in town. Plus, a kitchenware shop run by a lovely old grandpa – I call it the “mini IKEA”. A must-visit for Coventry students! 🍳🌼 📸 Snappy A print shop like those back home – offers colour printing, enlargements, photo printing, and photo paper. Not sure about the prices though. 🖨️📷 💍 Daire’s A UK-wide accessory chain selling all kinds of small trinkets. They also do piercings – last year it was around £50 (not sure if the price has changed this year). 👂✨ #UK 🇬🇧 #ShoppingUK 🛍️ #StudyInUK 🎓 #Coventry 🏙️ #WarwickUni 🎒 #CoventryLife
