🇬🇧 UK | A Relaxing Day Trip to Hastings 🌊🏰
Hastings, a charming seaside town in southeast England, may not be as famous as Brighton, but its scenic beauty and rich Norman history make it well worth a visit! 🚃 Transport From London: Direct trains from Victoria or London Bridge (faster, ~1.5 hours one-way). 🏖 Must-See Spots (All walkable in a day!) 1️⃣ East Hill 🌄 The best views in Hastings! Overlook the old town and sea from the top. The cliff lift station at the base is also photogenic. 📸 2️⃣ Hastings Castle & West Hill 🏰 Ruins of William the Conqueror’s castle (entry fee applies). Good views, but East Hill is better. 3️⃣ The Beach 🏖️ Pebbly but peaceful—perfect for a stroll after hiking the hills. 4️⃣ Fishermen’s Museum & Shipwreck Museum 🎣⚓ Free! Learn about local fishing history and see historic boats. Closes early, so go before 4 PM! 5️⃣ Alexandra Park 🌳 A lovely green escape in the town center. 🏰 Bonus: Bodiam Castle (If You Have Extra Time!) A 14th-century moated castle 🏰💦, straight out of a fairy tale! How to get there: Bus #349 from Hastings (~1 hour). Why visit? The exterior—with its wide moat and towers—is more stunning than the interior. Climb the towers for views, but the best photos are from outside! Time needed: ~1 hour. (I went with a National Trust free pass!) Pro Tip: Pack layers—Hastings is breezy! 🌬️ #UKTravel #DiscoverBritain #BodiamCastle #DayTripsFromLondon #SeasideTown
