🇬🇷 Athens Food Review Diary

All the spots I tried during my trip! I checked some guides beforehand, but ended up mostly eating grilled skewers and noodles 😄 Here’s my personal take — prices in EUR for reference 💶 🍢 Street Souvlaki 💰 ~€10+ per person Greek grilled skewers — a popular pick! Served with naan — super filling. Only chicken and pork were available that day 🥲 Still tasty and worth a visit! ~€2 per skewer. Limited seating — you’ll likely sit outside. 🍜 Shiraki Athens 💰 ~€20+ per person Japanese ramen — tried udon & sushi. Portions are small (might leave you hungry), but flavor was decent. Nothing mind-blowing though 😉 🇬🇷 Athena's Cook 💰 ~€20+ per person Greek cuisine — we ordered a meat platter and were stuffed! Mixed grill (beef, pork, chicken) served with bread, BBQ sauce & mayo — delicious! 🍶 EKIBEN KITCHEN 💰 ~€20+ per person Ramen spot — very limited seating. Best to book ahead or grab a big table early. Vibe: cozy izakaya-style, but music was pretty loud 🫠 Noodles were good, katsu sando was tasty, and the light peach-infused drink was refreshing! 🧀 Karamanlidika 💰 ~€15+ per person HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Greek restaurant! €1 cover charge per person includes: bottled water, bread/naan, post-meal yogurt, pre-meal cheese & beef. Beef and chicken dishes were super flavorful — perfect with the complimentary bread! ⏳ Service was a bit slow. Lunchtime can be busy — go early! 🍲 Vietnam Street Food 💰 ~€20+ per person Vietnamese pho! We had spring rolls, dumplings, and three noodle soups. Shrimp noodle soup had a tomato base — warm and perfect for Athens’ cooler days. 🍦 Bufala Gelato 💰 ~€7+ per person Bubble waffle ice cream! Dine-in = served on a plate; takeaway = handheld. Oreo flavor was good but got a bit too sweet — lots of sauce! Also serves regular gelato and waffles. Bubble waffle ice cream: €7–8. 🧋 Funjoy Bubble Tea 💰 ~€5+ per person Bubble tea shop! Tried the green grape & lime fruit tea — refreshing but a bit sweet. Recommend lowering the sugar level! Didn’t get to try the milk tea 🥺 🧋 Chatime 💰 ~€5+ per person Another bubble tea spot! Big, chewy pearls — loved it! We had pearl milk tea, passion fruit tea, and peach jasmine — all solid! Lots of topping options — order with confidence! #Athens #AthensEats #GreekFood #FoodDiary #TravelEats #EatLikeALocal #FoodReview
