One Last Taste of Greece: Local Specialties at LIONDI Traditional Gree
Before leaving Greece, we had to indulge in local specialties one more time. Restaurant Name: 🔖 LIONDI Traditional Greek Restaurant This place serves dishes quickly and is conveniently close to the Acropolis, definitely worth a visit! 🥗 Liondi Special Salad: For the first time in days, I had so many vegetables. This salad is better than any I've had before, without olives or arugula, which is a thumbs up in my book. The dressing, cheese, and pasta are a delightful mix. 🍆 National Dish: Baked Cheese and Meat-stuffed Eggplant and Potatoes: I had this again, and it's listed as the number one dish on their menu. It was even better than the one I had in Santorini. 🦐 Grilled Shrimp: Large, plump, fresh, and flavorful shrimp with a crispy, slightly charred skin that's good for you—bonus calcium! 👍 🍝 Platter: It's like a repeat of what we had in Santorini. 1) The national dish of baked eggplant and potatoes (repeat from earlier), 2) Cheese with meat sauce in tubular pasta, 3) Stuffed bell peppers with rice, 4) Pita bread, 5) Tomatoes with baked cheese that seemed a bit heavy, like eating pizza sauce dry, 6) Chicken pasta with a subtle cinnamon flavor, 7) Roasted pork belly that's sizzling with flavor, like roasted oil edges—delicious! We had a feast of carbs here. The four of us dined for 129.2 euros. Every meal in Greece has been a lot of food. #Athens #FoodDiary #CulinaryAdventures #AthensAcropolis #AthensTravel #Greece #GreekTravel
