πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· Greece Travel Guide | Athens Edition

Spent six days in total – two nights in Athens, three in Santorini, and one last day back in Athens before flying home ✈️. This is the Athens part – feel free to copy the entire itinerary! 🏨 Hotel Recommendation Stayed near Syntagma Square – perfect location! πŸ™οΈ Walkable to most attractions. πŸ‘Ÿ Wear sports shoes – Athens has many cobblestone paths, and the Acropolis can be slippery! ✈️ Day 1 | First Day in Athens 🚍 Took the X95 bus from the airport to Syntagma Square (€5.5/person, ~1 hour). The bus stop is easy to find right outside the airport exit. 🍴 Headed straight to the famous Tylixto – a bit of a queue but worth it! Lamb pita 🌯: Sausage + spicy sauce, rich flavor Pork pita: Freshly sliced meat, juicy and savory (Both €5 each – absolutely delicious!) πŸ•Œ After lunch, explored nearby: Local markets & Ancient Agora (great for photos πŸ“Έ) Passed by churches and Hadrian’s Library – impressive even from outside! 🎁 Found a handmade souvenir street near the library – perfect for gifts! Also tried Greek gyros, pork/lamb chops, and yogurt ice cream – must-tries! 🌞 Day 2 | Acropolis Adventure 🎫 Booked Acropolis tickets online in advance – aim for 6 or 7 AM to avoid crowds! πŸ›Ί Took a taxi to the Acropolis Museum at 3 PM (€8.8, 10-min ride). Bought student ticket on-site for €10 (theoretically only for EU under-25, but they checked my passport and allowed it!). πŸ“± Scanned QR codes in the museum for audio guides – used Google Translate for text versions. πŸ‘‰ Spent about 2 hours there – perfect length! 🚻 Pro tip: Use the museum restrooms – the ones at the Acropolis entrance have no toilet seats (true story πŸ˜…). β›² From the museum, it’s a 3-minute walk to the Acropolis entrance – super convenient! πŸ›οΈ Explored nearby gift shops but didn’t buy anything – better options elsewhere. πŸŒ„ Watched the sunset, took photos, then headed to a bar for drinks after descending. #Foodie #Travel #Greece #EuropeTravel #StudyAbroad #AncientCivilizations #Athens #Santorini
