Donβt overthink the route β just follow the crowd πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ. The area is compact, like seeing the main halls and gardens of the Forbidden City. Enter about 2 hours before closing. The ruins are mostly open-air β use your imagination to rebuild what you saw in the museum! π’ Acropolis Museum Tips Go before 10 AM, and visit before the Acropolis. Scan QR codes for audio guides or watch related films beforehand π§π¬. Learn how sculptures, steles, and columns were originally placed on the Acropolis. For example, the Parthenonβs pediments show the birth of Athena and her contest with Poseidon β the stories are fascinating! ποΈ Panathenaic Stadium Built 2,500 years ago β hosted the first modern Olympics and the 2004 Athens Games. Go for a run π β that β¬10 ticket feels worth it here! π Sunset Viewing Philopappos Hill: Walkable from the Acropolis. Pass by Socratesβ Prison πΆβοΈ β all free! Lycabettus Hill: A bit farther. Free entry, but the cable car is β¬10 one-way/β¬13 round-trip. Or hike up in ~20 mins. The viewing platform is small and can get crowded. I recommend Philopappos β great value and easy to access.
