🇭🇺 Budapest's Centuries-Old Restaurant
🩵 "Pest legöregebb étterme szeretettel" The restaurant's official website states: Budapest's oldest restaurant filled with love. 🩵 Százéves Étterem is Budapest's oldest restaurant, having opened its doors in 1831. It has a history spanning over a century! 🩵 The ambiance is elegant, with rustic furniture that gives it a charming, countryside feel. The menu features authentic Hungarian cuisine and high-quality wines from some of Hungary's best private vineyards. 🩵 In the evenings, the restaurant is beautifully lit with candles and offers delightful Gypsy music, adding to the romantic atmosphere. 🎶 🔸 Magyaros gulyasleves - Hungarian Goulash Soup There are four types of soup: cream of onions, beef, fish, and chicken. I opted for the beef version. Be careful with the first sip—it's hot! The soup is hearty and satisfying, with plenty of meat. However, it does get a bit salty towards the end. 😋 🔸 Szazeves tal 2 szamelyes This is a meat platter for 2 to 4 people, featuring fried cheese, chicken breast, Gypsy steak, pork knuckle, and blue ribbon pork, served with a mix of vegetables and cucumber. When it arrived, I was genuinely shocked at the size—it was enormous! I left feeling very full. 🍖 📍 Százéves Étterem Budapest, Piarista u. 2, 1052, Hungary #Hungary #Budapest #BudapestCuisine #MustTryInBudapest #BudapestTravelGuide #HungarianLocalDishes #CentennialRestaurant #GlobalFoodAdventures #RestaurantHopping #FoodieSquad
