🇮🇹 A Little Sharing About Ragusa & Syracuse
Ragusa Part 1️⃣ Just 1.5 hours from Agrigento, you’ll find three charming Baroque towns: Ragusa, Noto, and Modica. We planned to visit Ragusa and Noto but only made it to Ragusa due to time. Missed the Infiorata flower festival (3rd weekend of May) by just a few days! 🌸😢 2️⃣ Parking Tip: You can drive up to the hilltop church, but we parked outside town (forgot the name, but look for the blue P signs). Paid €0.25 per 15 mins – overpaid for 2 hours, but walking + eating took longer. Got a warning ticket for overstaying 20 mins! No fine luckily – just scan the QR code on the ticket and pay the extra (use the ticket number, not your license plate). 3️⃣ Ragusa Vibes: Quiet on weekdays, perfect for a relaxing drink in the main square ☕. The hilltop church is a steep climb (stairs + slopes) – takes ~20 mins to visit. Unless you’re super into it, 3 hours total (including food) is enough. Syracuse Part 1️⃣ Syracuse is a must for film buffs (Malèna 🎬) and math nerds (Archimedes’ hometown 🧮). But even without that, it’s worth the trip! 2️⃣ Ortigia Island: Connected by bridges – park near them (look for blue P signs). €2/hour, pay & display ticket on your dashboard. 3️⃣ Exploring Ortigia: Start at the cathedral square, then walk to the unreal turquoise sea 🌊 (yes, you can swim!). Super sunny – wear sunscreen! ☀️ 4️⃣ Tourist Alert: By noon, the cathedral area gets crowded with tour groups – go early/late for that movie-perfect shot! #ItalyTravel #SicilyHiddenGems #TravelTips
