Cycling in Sicily, an Ancient Town Nestled in the Mountains: Ragusa đ´
The location is Palazzolo Acreide in Sicily, a charming small town at 700m elevation â. The morning here is so peaceful, I couldnât resist stopping for coffee (and maybe some Wi-Fi đ). An elderly man was super curious about my bike and started taking photos đ¸âso I joined in with a little pose! The cafĂŠ owner was super friendly, and a kind local helped me order in English, making the morning even better đ. After a tough climb to 600m, I descended to the stunning Ragusa, nestled in a valley at 300m đď¸. This ancient town, once destroyed by an earthquake, now stands proudly between two mountainsârebuilt with history and charm â¤ď¸. Now I get itâI donât hate climbing hills, I just donât love it when thereâs no reward at the top! But Ragusa and Palazzolo Acreide? Totally worth the effortâplaces youâll want to stay forever đ. #EuropeCycling #Sicily #Italy #Ragusa
