Cycling in Sicily, an Ancient Town Nestled in the Mountains: Ragusa š“
The location is Palazzolo Acreide in Sicily, a charming small town at 700m elevation ā. The morning here is so peaceful, I couldnāt resist stopping for coffee (and maybe some Wi-Fi š). An elderly man was super curious about my bike and started taking photos šøāso I joined in with a little pose! The cafĆ© owner was super friendly, and a kind local helped me order in English, making the morning even better š. After a tough climb to 600m, I descended to the stunning Ragusa, nestled in a valley at 300m šļø. This ancient town, once destroyed by an earthquake, now stands proudly between two mountainsārebuilt with history and charm ā¤ļø. Now I get itāI donāt hate climbing hills, I just donāt love it when thereās no reward at the top! But Ragusa and Palazzolo Acreide? Totally worth the effortāplaces youāll want to stay forever š. #EuropeCycling #Sicily #Italy #Ragusa
