🇮🇹 Not Trying to Hate, But... Olio E Più Review 😬
📍 Olio E Più | Great Vibes, Just Okay Food My friend visited DC last-minute, and this was one of the few Italian spots with availability. They have a location in NYC too, but honestly? Not worth the hype. 3/5 stars. 🌟🌟🌟 🍽 Appetizers • Lamb Meatballs + Mashed Potatoes + Bread I don’t eat lamb, but my friend said the mashed potatoes were decent. 🐙 Fried Calamari + Seafood Platter Pretty standard—nothing memorable. 🍞 Focaccia Bread The bread itself was tasty, but the cured meat served with it had a… funky smell 🧀 (might be an acquired taste—I didn’t hate it though?). 🍝 Pasta - Guanciale & Egg Yolk Pasta Their signature dish, but honestly? The pasta was thick and chewy, and the flavor was bland. Not the rich, flavorful dish I was hoping for 😔. 🍝 Seafood Pasta Also just okay, and the portion was pretty small. Overall, the pastas were a letdown. 🍖 Pork Knuckle Better than the pasta, but all I could think was… Chinese braised pork knuckle is way better though? 😂 🍰 Dessert Was the Real Winner! Tiramisu + seasonal cherry panna cotta were delicious! Honestly, dessert outshined the main courses 👍. 📝 Final Thoughts Come here if you want a vibey meal—decor is cute but it’s pretty loud (the bar gets lively). Food is mediocre and overpriced, especially the pasta. I’d go elsewhere for Italian in DC. Open to DC pasta recommendations! 🥲 📍 Olio E Più 699 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20005 #ItalianFood #DC #DMV #Vibes #FoodReview #DCfood #DMVfood #Foodie
