🇮🇹 Obsessed with Rome? Here’s My Ultimate Guide!

Not just another travel crush—Italy stole my heart for real. (This is purely my personal take!) 🚗 Transportation From the airport to the city: Fast train: €14, 32 mins Slow train: €8, 50 mins Buy tickets at machines (queue) or counters (+€1 fee 😓). within Rome: Metro/bus: Tap credit card or Apple Pay. Public transport isn’t great—walking is often just as fast! Pro tip: Rent a Bird/Lime scooter (buy a 30-min pass if using frequently). 🏠 Accommodation Stay in a monastery (see my Florence guide 👀). This time, I stayed at Jo&Joe Hostel (near Termini Station): ✅ Great location, clean rooms. ❌ Beds are LOUD—every turn feels like a cosmic explosion! Light sleepers, beware. 🌆 Attractions — 3 Key Areas 💛 Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Book tickets 1+ month early (official site). No ticket? Buy at the Roman Forum entrance (half the wait vs. Colosseum!). Palatine Hill = more of a viewpoint—low effort, high reward! Watch a Bilibili video while there to visualize the ancient ruins below. Sunset tip: After the Colosseum, grab a drink (Aperol/Hugo) and enjoy street performers nearby. 💛 Vatican City (Museum & St. Peter’s Basilica) Book Vatican Museums 1+ month ahead (or queue for 2+ hours). ❌ No early entry—arrive on time or slightly late to skip lines. Must-see: Raphael Rooms & Sistine Chapel (no photos allowed—just soak it in!). Skip the €8 audio guide—Bilibili videos explain better! St. Peter’s Basilica: Free entry (2025 = Holy Door year—don’t miss it!). 💛 Pantheon, Sant'Ignazio, Trevi Fountain No bookings needed (Pantheon: €5 entry). Sant'Ignazio Church: Stunning 3D ceiling art—skip the mirror (long waits!). Trevi Fountain: Sometimes drained for cleaning—check social media before visiting! #Italy #Rome #RomeTravel #RomeTips #Colosseum #VaticanMuseum #StPetersBasilica 🇮🇹✨
