🇮🇹 Rome Exploration | A Hidden Gem for Breakfast Near the Vatican
This place is near the Vatican Museums. Last year, it was super popular on Instagram 🔥 People would queue up for an hour just for breakfast. Since we manage a guesthouse and live nearby, Today, we took some time off to explore it~ Arrived at the shop on a weekday at 9 AM. We were lucky to get the last available seat. Let me share my thoughts on this breakfast: 🥐 Croissant Price 🌟🌟 It’s one of the most expensive croissants in Rome outside of hotels/museums/boutiques. Croissants can cost up to 6 euros. To put it in perspective, a regular breakfast croissant in Italy is usually just 1-2 euros. Because of the slightly higher price, 95% of the customers are young people, mostly foreign tourists. ☕️ Coffee 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The cappuccino is pretty good, with decent latte art (a skill that seems essential in China but is actually rare in Italy! Most breakfast bars just slop on a big pile of milk foam, those who understand will know what I mean), but the cup is a bit small for coffee lovers. 🧏 Croissant Texture 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Very nice, the puff pastry is crispy, and the layers are neat, which is friendly to Virgo ♍️ people. The texture is relatively light and not overly buttery 🧈. The cream inside is excellent, slightly cool, and not too sweet. The puff pastry and cream go well together. For this texture, I’m willing to come back and try other flavors‼️ 💁 Variety of Croissants There are both sweet and savory options, which is great for those who prefer savory breakfasts. 🪑 Shop Space 🌟🌟🌟 The seating is a bit cramped, and the shop is small, with space for about 20 people. ❌ Not friendly for work/long stays. Maybe because the business is so good, in order to quickly free up space, the staff are very quick to clear empty plates and cups. I happened to run into a Taiwanese sister at the next table, and we were happily chatting, but the waiter “友好地” suggested “Since you both are finished eating, can you sit at the same table to free up a table?”, and then kept saying “Sorry, I don’t mean to rush you, you can sit down and chat slowly”, which is all Italian courtesy, those who understand will know x② There is an Asian waitress in the shop, I asked, and it turned out to be a Cherry Blossom Garden sister, not a Chinese national. The location is very👌, close to both the Vatican and the Vatican Museums, and just a 500m walk from our Vatican view guesthouse (welcome to check out my homepage👀👀). There are two queues outside: dine-in and takeout. 📍 Love - Specialty Croissants Monday to Sunday 7:30-15:30 Located between the Ottaviano and Cipro stops on the Rome A line subway #Rome #RomeExploration #RomeHiddenGems #ThisBreadTastesLuxurious #CoffeeShopDesserts #Vatican #RomeTravel #MySecretBreadShop #RomeGuesthouse
