🇮🇹 Rome Travel Diary | 5 Nights, 4 Days of Food, Stay & Transport
🏨 Stay: Le Méridien Visconti Rome €300/night (Platinum card got us free breakfast for two!) Great location: Bus stops right outside → 15 mins to Vatican, 20-25 mins to major sights. 🚍 Transport: Tested It All! 🚌 Bus (Best Option!) App: MooneyGo (buy tickets, check routes, even pay for parking if driving). €1.50/ticket, valid for 100 mins after activation—no need to re-tap! 🛴 E-Scooters Fun but cobblestones = bumpy & risky! 🚖 Taxis > Uber Cheaper for groups—we prioritized taxis! 👛 Theft? Zero Issues! Carried only a tote bag + 1 credit card, left passport in hotel safe. Tax refund tip: Most stores accept photos (but LV & Rinascente require original receipts). 🍝 Food: Carbonara, Pizza & More! Rome’s carbonara (thick pasta + pecorino + guanciale) was too salty for me, but hey—when in Rome! 😅 📍 Must-Try Spots: 👉 LUNA by Faro (Specialty coffee & brunch) 👉 La Pesceria Barberini (Seafood!) 👉 Ar Monte Testaccio (Local gem) 👉 La Nuova Piazzetta (Near Colosseum—go at opening to avoid lines!) 👉 Trattoria Da Enzo al 29 (Classic Roman) 👉 Spirito DiVino (Underground wine cellar 🍷) 👉 Come 'na Vorta Pasta e vino (Affordable & delicious) 🍕 Quick Bites (No Pics, But Yum!): Pizzeria La Boccaccia (Potato pizza = 🤯) Fatamorgana Trastevere (Gelato!) 💰 Avg. cost: €20-30/person—no regrets, all hits! ✨ Final Tips: ✔️ MooneyGo = transport lifesaver ✔️ Taxis > Uber for groups ✔️ Eat early to dodge crowds #RomeFoodGuide #LeMeridienRome #RomeTransport #TaxFreeRome #StudyAbroadEats
