Address: 2800 W Big Beaver Rd Unit 300, Troy, MI 48084 🛍️ Experience: I spontaneously accepted a carpool ride last weekend and ended up at Saks Fifth Avenue — little did I know, this place would blow my expectations! 😍 Somerset Collection is one of the few malls near Ann Arbor that truly fits the Chinese idea of a “proper shopping center.” It’s split into North and South wings by Big Beaver Rd, connected by a stylish skybridge 🌉. South Wing: Smaller but home to luxury brands like Hermès and Louis Vuitton. North Wing: Larger with a food court featuring Shake Shack and other American classics 🍔. I didn’t explore too much since I had to run off and finish an assignment 😂, but the location is perfect for a day trip: Located in the heart of Troy 🏙️ Just 10 minutes by car to tons of great Asian eateries: 🧋 HTea Cafe 🍵 Matcha from Wuji 🥢 Royal Place 🍜 Nian Chang’an 🍣 Kura Revolving Sushi 🥡 Kimchi Box (Korean) 🐟 Sushi Hana (one of Michigan’s best Japanese spots!) Perfect plan: Lunch in Ann Arbor → afternoon shopping → dinner in Troy → head back 🚗💨 ⚠️ But a heads-up: While it’s a nice mall, don’t expect something as grand as the mega-malls back in China.
