Is Novi Tasty? 😋 A Foodie’s Guide to Novi, Michigan (Part 2)

Having lived in Novi for eight years, I’m back with more restaurant reviews! (Check Part 1 in my Michigan Food Collection). Some say Novi lacks great food — but taste is subjective. My rule is: if a place does something better than anyone else nearby, or better than I could make at home, it’s worth trying 🍽️✨. 🍤 Bonefish Grill A reliable nationwide chain specializing in seafood. Michigan has locations in Novi and Troy. ✅ Must-try: Bang Bang Shrimp (appetizer) and Cod Imperial (tender and flavorful). 📍 Novi & Troy 🔥 Blackrock Bar & Grill A steak-focused spot where you grill your own meat on a hot stone at the table. 💡 Fun experience, but a bit gimmicky — wouldn’t you rather leave the cooking to the chefs? Also, the dining area can get smoky. 🥩 Go for the novelty, not the steak mastery. 🥩 Texas Roadhouse A solid choice for affordable steak dinners. ✨ Highlights: Their famous warm rolls 🧁, Prime Rib (slow-roasted, tender, available even at lunch!), and Ribeye. 📌 Multiple locations — Novi’s branch is consistent and convenient. 🍢 Fumi Japanese Izakaya A popular izakaya (Japanese pub) with a great vibe and photo menu 📸. Recommended: Yakitori, Karaage (fried chicken), Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, and grilled fish 🐙🎌. Cozy atmosphere and easy ordering! 🍲🔥 K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot All-you-can-eat Korean BBQ + hot pot chain — 7 locations in MI. Choose one or both styles! 🦞 DIY sauce bar + sides like crayfish. ⏳ 90-minute limit — pro tip: order meat multiple times (portions are small per round). 🍚 Dae Jang Keum A decent but not outstanding Korean restaurant. 👍 Convenient if you’re in Novi, but not the best in Michigan (check my earlier posts for top spots). Order what you like — no standout dishes. 🦑 Bibimbab Tucked inside a commercial building, this spot offers better Korean BBQ and seafood stews than Dae Jang Keum — but it’s pricier and service can be stiff 😬. 💸 Note: They’ve been known to comment if the tip is “too low.” That’s all for now! More Novi bites to come 😉. #100PlacesToTry #MichiganEats #NoviFood #DetroitFood #AnnArborEats #UMich #MSU #FoodGuide #KoreanBBQ #SteakLovers
