🇺🇸 Aspen Dining | Candlelit French Dinner 🕯️

🖤 Restaurant 1: French Alpine Bistro - Crêperie du Village 📍 400 E Hopkins Ave, Aspen, CO 81611 Tucked away in a cozy basement corner in Aspen, this place is full of charm✨. A cold winter night + flickering candlelight = pure romance! 🕯️❄️ Soupe à l’Oignon 🧅: French onion soup with a thick cheese layer – our table found it too heavy. Terrine de Foie Gras: Highly recommend! Smooth foie gras on perfectly toasted bread 🍞, no weird aftertaste. Paired amazingly with fruit jam. Steak Tartare: Refreshing and flavorful – I devoured three spoonfuls without feeling、! 🥄😋 Filet Mignon 🥩: Not recommended. Ordered medium rare & medium – barely any difference. Sides tasted straight out of Whole Foods. Saffron Sea Scallops: Just okay. The tomatoes 🍅 in the dish stole the show! 📝 Verdict: Great appetizers, mediocre mains – but no major fails. Amazing atmosphere and good service! ————————————— 🖤 Restaurant 2: Casa D' Angelo Ristorante 📍 105 S Mill St, Aspen, CO 81611 FOIE GRAS: Another win! Rich but not greasy, perfect with bread – gone in seconds! 👍✨ Burrata: Classic burrata & tomatoes – great with wine 🍷 Lobster Cream Pasta: Lobster was overly salty 😬… but the server kindly remade two tomato-based lobster pasta dishes for us! RAVIOLI DI RICOTTA E SPINACI 🧀: My favorite! Buttery, cheesy, and reliable – can’t go wrong. RISOTTO PIEMONTESE 🍄: Surprisingly incredible! Ultra savory with intense mushroom flavor – our table’s favorite main! 🤯 FILETTO: Medium rare steak – much better than French Alpine’s. Crispy outside, tender inside! 🔥 Desserts: Just okay. 📝 Verdict: Standout service! The manager kept apologizing and even shared that he used to work at Patek Philippe 🧐. He probably knows about Little Red Book too 😉 #AspenFood #FoodReview #FrenchCuisine #ItalianFood #AspenEats 🍝🥂
