🍴 Comparison of Two Popular French Restaurants in Aspen

Let’s talk about two hot French spots in town: 🇫🇷 French Alpine Bistro vs Bear Den Aspen Both require reservations 🗓️. As an organized “J-person” 🧠, I booked right when their winter season opened – so I’m not sure how far in advance you usually need to book! 🏠 Ambience: I preferred Bear Den Aspen. Although both have tightly packed tables, at French Alpine Bistro, the door kept opening and closing… letting in bursts of freezing cold wind 🥶❄️! 🍲 Food: I ordered the same two dishes at both places: French onion soup 🧅 and Boeuf Bourguignon 🥘. And the winner for both is… French Alpine Bistro! 👑 🧅 Onion Soup: FAB’s version had deeper flavor – better caramelized onions, richer broth, and that perfectly softened yet chewy baguette on top 😋🍞. 🥩 Boeuf Bourguignon: FAB uses short ribs – tender, flavorful, and fall-apart delicious. BDA’s was just… regular stewed beef 🐄😐. One came with pasta, the other with mashed potatoes – no strong opinion since I’m not a big carb person 😅. 🍹 Drinks: Shoutout to BDA’s cocktails though! I tried the Pink Dragon 🐉💖 and liked it so much I ordered a second round! ⭐ Verdict: For food – French Alpine Bistro ✅ For drinks and vibe – Bear Den Aspen 🍸✨ #Aspen #AspenFood #FrenchCuisine #FoodReview #ColoradoEats #TravelFoodie
