Tucked behind the East Gate of Homewood, this museum offers a peaceful and educational escape into history. 📍 Homewood Museum Enter through a small door on the right side – it’s easy to miss but worth the find! The self-guided tour includes QR codes for audio descriptions 📱🎧, printed guides, and even poetry readings. ✨ Highlights: A long, photogenic hallway 📸 Beautifully preserved rooms: dining room, master bedroom, guest rooms, a playful nursery (with a cute baby crib!), art room, and dressing room Gorgeous window frames with views of green lawns, birds, and squirrels 🐦🐿️ Some rooms have plastic stools for resting 🪑 Chinese porcelain display in one room 🏺 🕚 Hours: Tue–Sun, 11 AM–4 PM 🎫 Admission: $12 for public | FREE for JHU students/staff with ID ⏳ Visit time: 10 mins – 1 hour 📜 History: Homewood is a National Historic Landmark 🏅 and one of the best-preserved Federal-period Palladian homes in the US. Built in 1801 for the Carroll family, it also housed at least 25 enslaved individuals.
