🇺🇸 Boston | I’ve Used This Guide to Host THREE Groups of Friends!

As a BU student, I’ve hosted three groups of friends over the past year and compiled this must-see list of places and itineraries in Boston! 🏨 Accommodation: It’s best to stay near the Prudential Center. Avoid downtown areas close to Chinatown—there are many unhoused individuals, and shootings have occurred there before. A friend previously stayed at Hilton Boston Back Bay ($400+ per night 💸). 🏛️ Attractions: Public Garden 🌹: Beautiful in summer with roses, cherry blossoms in April. You can even go boating! Newbury Street: Perfect for shopping and strolling 🛍️. Public Library 📚: Classic old-school architecture. Free entry, but keep quiet—students often study there. Prudential Center: Features the new "View Boston" observation deck for skyline views 🏙️. Christian Science Plaza ⛪: An NEU building that’s beautifully lit at night—great for photos with fewer crowds. 🚶♂️ All these spots are within walking distance! Quincy Market: Daytime performances + food stalls 🥨. Surrounding shops sell souvenirs. Bill Russell Statue 🏀: The famous “Boston” sign—just across from Quincy Market. Harvard University 🎓: Visit the Coop (not the bookstore!) for souvenirs. MIT 🔬: Best reached by ride-share. Great night views near the Charles River. Seaport 🌊: Waterfront area with lovely night views—quiet in the evenings. Revere Beach ⏳: Get off at 400 Ocean Ave for the iconic clock tower. Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum 🖼️: Highly photogenic with vintage decor. 🍽️ Food Recommendations: Daily Catch 🦞: Must-try lobster pasta. Two people can share one portion. The fried calamari is also delicious. 💵 Cash only! Four people can expect ~$150 incl. tip. North End location is walkable to Quincy Market. Tatte ☕: Try the Croque Madame! Davio’s 🌊: Seaport location offers seaside views. Allston 🥢: packed with great Korean and Chinese restaurants. Try “Sichuan Garden” for Chinese, and honestly any Korean spot here is a win. If you have extra time, consider a duck boat tour or a concert! 🎵 🐋 Whale watching isn’t recommended—I got seasick and didn’t even see any whales last time 😅 #WeekendIdeas #Boston #BostonEats #BostonTravel #BostonSpots #MustVisitBoston
