🇺🇸 Carmel Bakery: A Taste of History with Hazelnut Bliss!

During our Northern California trip, we visited Carmel Bakery—established in 1899 and holding 125 years of history on Ocean Ave, the main street of Carmel-by-the-Sea. It’s the town’s oldest retail store! The iconic 🥨 Pretzel (German-style twisted bread) logo at the entrance is hard to miss. While their bread is fairly ordinary (nothing extraordinary), they also sell dog treats and cookies. The taste doesn’t quite justify the prices, but as a tourist hotspot, it draws crowds—especially Americans and visitors exploring the town. Long lines are common, and the area’s diversity brings in many Indian locals and tourists. But here’s the highlight: Their hazelnut ice cream is delicious! 🍦 Luckily, we visited on a day they offered this flavor—creamy, nutty, and absolutely satisfying.
