🇺🇸 Dad's Birthday Dinner – Pomona Valley Mining Co. 🎉

We’ve often spotted this restaurant while driving along the 10 Freeway, and finally got to celebrate Dad’s birthday here! The restaurant is spacious, perched on a hillside with lovely nighttime views 🌃. We made a same-day reservation on Saturday morning — surprisingly, lots of time slots were available even though it was fully booked the day before! 🅿️ Valet parking: $10 🍷 Drinks are affordable — weekend happy hour runs until 7 PM. We ordered a bottle of wine and a beer for just $40! We sat by the window, enjoyed the view, sipped our drinks, and had a lovely time. The service was warm and thoughtful — they knew it was Dad’s birthday and brought out a mini ice cream cake with a candle 🍰🕯️. The staff even joined us in singing “Happy Birthday!” 🎶 🍽️ Food Review: The dishes were decent — nothing extraordinary, just as many Yelp reviews mentioned. So we didn’t have high expectations, but everything was satisfying. The self-serve salad bar was a nice touch — it included clam chowder, Mexican-style soup, and a good variety of fresh salads 🥗. Overall, the restaurant has a unique vibe, reasonable prices, and generous portions.
