🇺🇸 DC Edition | The Wharf Waterfront Dining

📍 Hank’s Oyster Bar 📍 701 Wharf St SW, Washington, DC 20024, United States After wandering around in the chilly evening 🥶, we finally stepped into this spot (since most nearby restaurants were around 100+ per person!). Our final bill for two came to about 115 before tip. 💸 1️⃣ Seafood Plateau – $75 🦞 I’d seen rave reviews online about how fresh everything was, but honestly, it was just okay. The lobster and oysters were decent, but the clams had sand in them—gritty teeth moment! 😬 There was also a noticeable seafood smell, but maybe that’s just not my thing… otz 2️⃣ Lobster Bisque – $13 🍲 A very thick soup, but not much lobster flavor or meat inside. Still, since it was the only warm dish on the table, we finished it all! 🍴🔥 3️⃣ Mojo Dojo Casa House – $17 🍹 The drink everyone recommended online was sold out, so I went with this one purely because of the funny name! It was alright—mostly ordered for the vibes. 😆 📝 Summary: If you’re not super craving seafood, maybe skip the plateau and go for larger individual plates instead. This platter didn’t really fill up two people. Everything else was fine though! 🧷 Side note: There’s a bonfire on the pier where you can roast marshmallows! 🔥 For $5, you get marshmallows + a roasting stick + graham crackers + chocolate—super fun! Make sure to sandwich the soft, warm marshmallow between the crackers—it’s delicious! (The chocolate was a bit too sweet for me though! 🍫) Have you been to Hank’s Oyster Bar or tried the marshmallow roasting at The Wharf?
