🇺🇸 DC Restaurant Week|Imperfecto: Good Value but Not So Tasty 🍽️

📍 Imperfecto, Washington D.C. 🌟 Part of the Seven Reasons restaurant group, Imperfecto is participating in Restaurant Week until September 2nd. I came with friends to try it out—I had their chef’s table (which has a Michelin star) back in February, and it was decent—I’d give it a 7/10, with a few standout dishes. 🌟 The Restaurant Week menu is 75 per person, which is a good deal compared to the usual 100+ for à la carte. Portions are fair—you get pasta, bread, and enough food to feel about 80% full. But the flavor? Not bad, but not good either—pretty bland and forgettable. Honestly, I’d rather go to Elcielo next door. 😕 🌟 They started us off with a complimentary truffle mushroom soup—that was actually delicious! 🍄 For appetizers: • Aladdin Burrata: Burrata cheese + crispy lentils + hummus + naan. The hummus was a bit salty, the lentils and burrata were bland, but together with the slightly charred naan, it was okay. • Madai Crudo: Fish slices wrapped around avocado with a hint of spicy sauce—pretty mild and unmemorable. 🌟 For mains: • Lamb Terrine: Shredded lamb with mashed potatoes and sweet-and-sour sauce. The lamb was tender, but the flavor was just average. • Truffle Pasta: The pasta was undercooked, the truffle flavor was faint, and it was served lukewarm—not great. 🍝 🌟 Desserts: • Pistachio Ice Cream with shortbread and a yellow cream sauce that had a strong chai tea flavor—be cautious if you’re not into chai! • Coffee Cream Cake was okay—standard and inoffensive. 🌟 The mocktails were refreshing though! I ordered one with mixed fruits—sweet and tangy. 🍹 Have you tried Imperfecto during Restaurant Week? What’s your favorite spot for a good deal and great flavor?
