🇺🇸 DC Salamander Hotel – Formerly a Mandarin Oriental

This time in DC, I stayed at the Salamander Hotel, which used to be a Mandarin Oriental. The view is fantastic! You can see the Jefferson Memorial from here—there’s even a scene featuring it in Forrest Gump! 🎬🏛️ The hotel is located right next to the Treasury Department. The rooms are a bit dated, but I really loved the bathroom—marble truly stands the test of time! 🚽✨ The shower amenities are from Diptyque, and the scent was lovely. 🛁💖 The service here is great, and the food is pretty good too. Room service meals were tasty, and when I called late at night to order, the guy who picked up was super nice and helpful. ☎️👍 Even the housekeeping staff went above and beyond—they neatly arranged all my products in the bathroom and placed them on a towel.
