🇺🇸 Florida | Gainesville | Must-Visit Museums at UF 🎨🦋

I recently visited two museums on the University of Florida campus — and both turned out to be wonderful surprises! 🤩 🏛️ The Harn Museum of Art Spanning over 110,000 square feet, this art museum includes 40,000 sq ft of exhibition space, five garden areas, a 250-seat auditorium, and more. Its collection features over 10,000 works including Asian, African, modern and contemporary art, and photography. 📸✨ The exhibits are organized thematically — you can easily spend 1-2 hours here. I was especially impressed by the early Florida landscape paintings, contemporary photography, Asian ceramics, and a special temporary exhibition on “Female Power.” 💪🌸 📍 Address: 3259 Hull Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608 🦖 Florida Museum of Natural History Founded over 130 years ago, this is the perfect place to explore Florida’s natural history. The museum is dedicated to understanding, preserving, and interpreting biological diversity and cultural heritage. 🌿 It’s especially great for families and nature lovers! The exhibits are incredibly diverse — covering animals, plants, fossils, and cultural history. I loved the extensive fossil collection, including dolphins, whales, dogs, and even elephants. Each fossil is displayed with an illustrated card showing what the animal looked like. 🐋🦴 There’s also an impressive display of insect and butterfly specimens — some in recreated natural environments, others under microscopes for close observation. The interactive and multimedia elements make the experience both educational and fun! 🦋🔍 📍 Address: 3215 Hull Rd, Gainesville, FL 32611 Final thoughts: This will be my last post about Florida. I didn’t expect this one-month stay to be so fulfilling — or that I’d end up sharing almost daily.
