🇺🇸 Found Boston's Famous Tatte in DC|Brunch Recommendation
Spotted Tatte during my trip to Washington DC, so I'm combining this visit with my previous Boston Tatte experience into one post! 🥯✨ 🥑 Avocado Tartine An open-faced sandwich topped with avocado, two perfectly poached eggs, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Finished with a touch of olive oil—the overall flavor is tangy, and the runny yolk from the eggs is absolutely dreamy! 😍 It totally satisfied my craving for both avocado and poached eggs at once! Do you prefer savory or sweet tartines? What’s your favorite combo? 🥘 Traditional Shakshuka The lamb meatball version is super popular online, but we went with the traditional North African style to avoid any gaminess—and it did not disappoint! Rich tomato sauce 🍅 with soft-cooked eggs and bits of onion—so appetizing! The bread was toasted just right: crispy outside, soft inside. Have you ever tried shakshuka? Which version do you like best? 🍣 Roasted Salmon & Spring Vegetable Rice Bowl The salmon was roasted until crispy and served over fragrant jasmine rice—so delicious! Also included roasted beans and tender bamboo shoots. A super satisfying bowl! 🌱 Are you a salmon lover? How do you like yours prepared? ☕️ Iced Black Sesame Latte Ordered this for the second time—the black sesame flavor is strong and not too sweet. Perfectly balanced! 🖤 Have you tried unique latte flavors like this? What’s your favorite? 🍓 Seasonal Mixed Fruit Box Cute pot-shaped dessert with a buttery biscuit base, filled with chocolate and fresh cream. The texture is dense but not too sweet—pairs perfectly with the tart strawberries! 🍫🍓 I thought it was a fruit tart at first, but it’s totally different—this one uses ganache instead of custard!
