🇺🇸 Gainesville’s SoHao – A Must-Try Chinese Food Experience! 🥢

Just arrived in Gainesville and finally got to try SoHao, known as the top-tier Chinese restaurant in town! 🏆 As a foodie curious about how it compares to what we considered the best Chinese food back in Edmonton—WWX—I was pretty excited to see how they stack up. First impressions? SoHao definitely wins when it comes to space, ambiance, and cleanliness! 🧼✨ The restaurant is more spacious, modern, and well-kept compared to WWX. The staff were also super attentive and friendly—big plus! 👍 The menu is largely Sichuan-focused—spicy, bold, and full of flavor! 🌶️ We ordered a few classic dishes, and I literally finished a whole bowl of rice in no time—it was that good! The portions are generous, and taste-wise, it definitely holds its own against Edmonton’s so-called "best." 😋 A few things to note though: ❗ They don’t accept Canadian bank cards (so make sure you have a U.S. card or cash). 💳 Groups of 4 or more are automatically charged an 18% gratuity. Overall, SoHao delivers where it counts—great food, nice environment, and solid service. It might not completely dethrone everyone’s favorite back home, but it’s absolutely a strong contender.
