๐บ๐ธ I Prefer Washington DC Over New York! ๐ณโจ
During my US trip, I visited three cities: New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. My first impression of DC was how peaceful, clean, and livable it felt. โ The metro stations are spotless and not crowded โ nothing like NYC! โ I love the low-rise buildings, abundant greenery, and open views โ so refreshing ๐ฟ โ Even Manhattan (except Central Park) canโt compare to DCโs urban green spaces. Honestly, I found Central Park just okay. ๐๏ธ On livability: We visited the Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial around 10-11 PM ๐, and it felt as safe as back home! I never once worried about safety โ no homeless people, no weed smell ๐ญ, and friendly police everywhere. Safety rating: โญโญโญโญโญ ๐ฎโ๏ธ One funny story: At 11 PM, we drove to the Lincoln Memorial but got lost twice at the same intersection. A police officer pulled us over. Knowing US cops carry real guns ๐ซ, I cooperated fully. He asked why I didnโt stop completely at the sign. I explained I was a tourist ๐งณ, showed my ID photo on my phone (since I left the physical copy at the hotel), and he ended up giving me directions! So kind! ๐ญ Museums: We spent a lot on museums in NY and Philly ๐ธ, but in DCโalmost all are FREE! ๐ There are too many to finish in one trip, and the architecture is stunning ๐๏ธ. The vibe actually reminded me of the UK! ๐ Note: My comparisons are based on city centers. Three days per city is only enough for a quick glimpse, but stillโ DC is totally worth it! Highly recommend! ๐๐๐๐๐ #USTravel #TravelDiary #EastCoast #WashingtonDC #WhiteHouse #USVisa #LifeInUSA #NYC
