‼️ Heads up — all recommendations below are SWEET 🍬‼️ 1️⃣ Millet Crepe 🍯 (Little Tokyo) Several flavors, but I usually go for original — filled with flowing crème brûlée custard. Sweet and rich, with soft, fluffy crepe layers — so good! 2️⃣ Lady M 🍵 Matcha Mille Crepe 📍 Arcadia Mall & Irvine The queen of mille crepe cakes — unbeatable! Premium yet affordable. A 9-inch cake is ~$108, slices around $10. Even cheaper than many private bakeries! Matcha is my fave 💚 3️⃣ Somi Somi 🐟 Taiyaki 📍 DT, KT, Irvine, Ontario, etc. Love their chewy, mochi-like taiyaki with various fillings. The ice cream melts too fast for me, and the milk flavor is just… okay. 4️⃣ Melo Melo 🥥 Coconut Pudding 📍 KT, SG, RH Famous for a reason — rich, creamy, melts in your mouth. A bit pricey (~$10+ per jar), but worth it. Other places’ versions taste like egg custard 😅 5️⃣ Mochinut 🍩 Mochi Donuts 📍 DT, Arcadia, West Covina, etc. If you don’t know these bite-sized mochi donuts yet — you’re missing out! Chewy, soft, and so addictive. The glazed ones are super sweet — I prefer plain original (like chewy little buns). $3.50 each, and I can eat three in one go 🥲 6️⃣ Motto Tea Coffee 🥞 Soufflé Pancakes 📍 Pasadena & SG Fluffy, cloud-like soufflé pancakes are their signature. Also serves boba, mille crepe, cake rolls, and dessert boxes. 7️⃣ Uncle Tetsu 🍰 Japanese Cheesecake 📍 KT, Pasadena, RH, Irvine Light, fluffy cheesecakes for just ~$10+ for a whole cake! Every flavor is delicious. 8️⃣ Meet Fresh 🍡 Taro Balls & Herbal Jelly Icy herbal jelly with taro balls in summer, warm red bean taro balls in winter — always add cream! Egg waffles — chocolate flavor is the best 🍫 9️⃣ Yu Cake Feels like a Chinese-style bakery — cake rolls, dessert boxes, milk date snacks, drinks, etc. Nothing disappointing, but a bit pricey. Mille crepe not as good as Lady M’s. 🔟 Hui Lau Shan Reminds me of Mango Mango — loved it back in China.
