Shibuyala (Arcadia Mall) — Local services in Arcadia

Unfortunately had a bad experience in store. I had seen a lot of videos online and was excited to visit. Most of all I was interested in looking at the Sanrio items that are kept in the back of the store. So I made my way to that section not knowing that it was closed off. I was going to look at the Sanrio items when a Female employ yelled at me that I could not be there. Taken aback by her tone of voice I just nodded my head and left. I understand that she was doing her job but she definitely could have been more respectful about her approach. Such as: not yelling at me or looking for a resolution. Like asking what item I was interested in and letting me see it with her permission. I am very disappointed in my experience since I had been looking forward to visiting the mall for this specific store for over a year. I really do hope that employ learns...

Love this place and checking out Japanese and Korean beauty products I otherwise would not have found, especially since I prefer to shop in person more than online. They have all sorts of testers out for lip products so it is nice to see what would look good on my brown skin (by searching of course.) The atmosphere is nice at the store.

I particularly decided to make this review, though, because Madelyn helped me out and left a wonderful impression. I was asking about mascaras, specifying that I was looking for something that separates the lashes well for a more "dolly" look. Shibuyala is the best when it comes to Japanese cosmetics/food/products in general. I've been to their locations in Irvine and Rowland Heights and I swear their buyer/item selection team is IMMACULATE. They always have the best items and their prices are so reasonable too! As someone that's part Japanese and uses a bunch of Japanese products daily, shibuyala is a blessing. My jaw was on the floor when I found out that they sell Curel and Fancl brand items. Not to mention, this location has a bunch of Sanrio items!! I do wish that they'd sell hair spray (for my bangs lol) but I'm guessing those are hard to import.
