πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Must-Visit Spots in Maine: Hike, Ocean Views & Lobster 🦞🏞️

Spent the long Independence Day weekend in Maine! Besides the famous delicious lobster, Maine is also known for its stunning natural scenery and charming small towns. This time, we explored Acadia National Park 🏞️ and the town of Portland. Here are my recommended spots: 🌲 Acadia National Park ⛰️ Beehive Trail – A challenging but thrilling hike! Requires actual climbing using both hands and feet πŸ§—β€β™€οΈ. The ascent is almost vertical, but the summit offers breathtaking views of the coast and the park. The descent is on a regular stone path. ⛰️ Bubble Rock Trail – Moderate difficulty. Features a unique, perfectly balanced round boulder. 🌊 Jordan Pond – A relaxing loop trail around a serene lake. Perfect for a chill walk. πŸŒ„ Cadillac Mountain – The most famous spot in Acadia! You need to reserve a ticket in advance to drive up πŸš—. Both sunrise and sunset here are absolutely stunning. There are also four trails (North, South, East, West) at the summit. 🌊 Thunder Hole – Make sure to go at high tide! Waves crash against the rocks, creating a thunder-like roar. πŸŒ‰ Bar Island Land Bridge – A fascinating tidal trail in Bar Harbor. Must visit during low tide – otherwise, you’ll see nothing but water! 🏘️ Portland, Maine Located about 3 hours from Bar Harbor. Perfect for a day trip if you’re road-tripping from Boston. πŸ—Ό Portland Head Light – One of the most iconic lighthouses in Maine, once a U.S. naval base. Great for walks and photos. 🎨 Waterfront – Don’t miss the Berlin Wall mural – an interesting artistic spot! 🏨 Accommodation & Food Where to Stay: Bar Harbor: Just 10 minutes from Acadia, with plenty of dining and shopping options (but a bit pricey πŸ’°). Ellsworth: A more budget-friendly option, about 30 minutes from the park. 🦞 Lobster: Almost every restaurant serves lobster rolls and boiled lobster. The lobster quality is similar everywhere – it’s the sides that differ. (Pro tip: Would be even better with some Six Goddess pepper powder lol πŸ˜†) ❀️ My favorite spot in Portland: The Highroller Lobster Co. – amazing lobster rolls and oysters! 🍦 Ice Cream: Tried the famous lobster ice cream in Bar Harbor – unique and curiosity-satisfying! 🫐 Blueberry pie and jam are local specialties! Not too sweet and super delicious – almost every restaurant in Bar Harbor serves it. #Maine #AcadiaNationalPark #Lobster #Travel #USNationalParks
