Acadia National Park Guide 👇👇👇 Visiting Acadia is a trip everyone should do! Be sure to save this for your future trip! There are so many hikes and other things to do when you visit! Here is a list of my top 10 things to add to your itinerary when you visit! Would you change anything on this list?? 1. Sunset at Cadillac Mountain 2. Sunrise at Cadillac Mountain 3. Bike the carriage road (you can rent e-bikes in Bar Harbor) 4. Catch a sunset at Bass Harbor Head Light House 5. Precipice Trail (not for those scared of heights!) 6. Beehive Trail (for those that don’t want to do precipice but still want an adventurous hike) 7. Explore Jordan Pond 8. Stroll the Ocean Path trail 9. North and South Bubble Mountain for an overlook of Jordan Pond 10. Dorr Mountain Ladder Trail As always, please follow the leave no trace principles while visiting the parks. Take out any trash you bring with you including compostable material like apple cores and bread scraps and sadly now masks. If you encounter animals like squirrels, chipmunks, or marmots, please do not feed them as it encourages them to go closer to humans and steal their food (this has become a major problem in the parks). Together we can make our parks wonderful for everyone to enjoy! Tag someone you would bring here! Drop a like, save and share this post, and leave a comment with your thoughts!

If you’re looking for an incredible (but lesser-known) trail, consider hiking to Bubble Rocks. This trail goes to two separate viewpoints called South Bubble and North Bubble that overlook Jordan Pond from up top. In addition to being a wonderful viewpoint, South Bubble also has a famous tourist attraction: Bubble Rock (aka. Balanced Rock). a large boulder that was carried by glaciers (yes! you read it right) and deposited at the seemingly precarious edge of a cliff. it is considered to be the best-known boulder in the entire state of Maine The hike from the Bubbles parking lot to Bubble Rock is a short family-friendly adventure. Bubble Rock and the 768-foot peak of South Bubble can be reached via the Bubbles Divide Trail and Bubbles Trail. The Bubbles trailhead and the parking lot are located on Park Loop Road, just over a mile south of Bubble Pond and about 1.5 miles north of Jordan Pond House. Just beyond the side trail to Bubble Rock, are wonderful views of Jordan Pond, Pemetic Mountain, Penobscot Mountain, as well as the ocean off Seal Harbor.

Bubble Rock is, of course, iconic and beautiful. But the park administration has made it extremely difficult to reach by suspending the bus stop at the parking lot by the main trail head. Because parking is almost impossible we were forced to walk a mile from Jordan Pond to the other trail. Described by the Island bus person as "family friendly" it was, as it turned out, one of the most difficult trails in the entire park. The "carry trail" was scary and very tough for everyone. No way could we go down that way, so we had to go down the regular way to the parking lot, where we were stranded for a ride. We had to call a friend to pick us up to take us back to our cars at the Visitors Center. So, great mountain, awful trail, service and advice. We've been coming to Acadia for over 40 years, so we'll stick to the less popular trails.
