🇺🇸 My First Time on an Aircraft Carrier — So Exciting! 🚢✨
I just visited the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi — my very first time stepping foot on an aircraft carrier! And no, it wasn’t one of those carriers from provinces in the Northeast, East China, or across the Strait that I’d never have the chance to board… 🚫🇨🇳 I know many people’s first carrier visit is the famous USS Midway in San Diego 🏙️✈️ — it’s more well-known and surrounded by more attractions. I haven’t been to San Diego yet, so my first carrier was this legendary "Blue Ghost" — the USS Lexington, which served in World War II and the Korean War! ⚓🌊 The excitement was real! I parked in the ground lot for $5 🅿️💵, only to find out later that you can actually drive all the way up and park RIGHT IN FRONT of the carrier entrance — also for just $5! Yes, you heard that right — you can park AT THE DOOR of an aircraft carrier. And I’m not talking about the harbor entrance — I mean driving right up the ramp to the ticket booth 🎟️🚗. How cool is that?! Compare that to places that make you park 30 km away from the actual attraction… 😂 Super thrilled and highly recommend this experience! 🙌🥳 #USSLexington #FirstTimeOnACarrier #CorpusChristi #TexasTravel #MilitaryHistory #AircraftCarrier #TravelUSA
