🇺🇸 National WWI Museum and Memorial
Although the U.S. didn’t join World War I from the beginning, this museum offers a deeply informative and moving experience. Highly recommended for those interested in military, political, or historical topics! 📚🔍 Admission: Adults: $19.50 (does NOT include tower access) The tower offers a panoramic view of Kansas City 🏙️, but it was closed for maintenance during my visit. It’s expected to reopen in mid-to-late July! ⚠️ Exhibits include: 🎬 Introductory films (pre-war global context, impact of the war on the U.S.) 📅 Detailed timeline of WWI – very clear and thorough 🪖 Authentic artifacts from various countries: weapons, uniforms, supply items, and more 🖥️ Interactive screens explaining battle strategies and wartime scenarios 🗿 Lifelike dioramas and sculptures helping visitors imagine life during the war The museum also has restrooms, a café ☕, and a gift shop 🛍️. Allow at least 3–4 hours to fully experience everything. You can easily combine your visit with the nearby Money Museum (from my previous post)! 🪙💵 It’s just a short walk away. #WWIMuseum #MilitaryHistory #KansasCity #HistoryLovers #TravelUSA #WorldWarI #MemorialVisit #ExploreKC #HistoricalMuseum
