๐บ๐ธ National WWI Museum and Memorial
Although the U.S. didnโt join World War I from the beginning, this museum offers a deeply informative and moving experience. Highly recommended for those interested in military, political, or historical topics! ๐๐ Admission: Adults: $19.50 (does NOT include tower access) The tower offers a panoramic view of Kansas City ๐๏ธ, but it was closed for maintenance during my visit. Itโs expected to reopen in mid-to-late July! โ ๏ธ Exhibits include: ๐ฌ Introductory films (pre-war global context, impact of the war on the U.S.) ๐ Detailed timeline of WWI โ very clear and thorough ๐ช Authentic artifacts from various countries: weapons, uniforms, supply items, and more ๐ฅ๏ธ Interactive screens explaining battle strategies and wartime scenarios ๐ฟ Lifelike dioramas and sculptures helping visitors imagine life during the war The museum also has restrooms, a cafรฉ โ, and a gift shop ๐๏ธ. Allow at least 3โ4 hours to fully experience everything. You can easily combine your visit with the nearby Money Museum (from my previous post)! ๐ช๐ต Itโs just a short walk away. #WWIMuseum #MilitaryHistory #KansasCity #HistoryLovers #TravelUSA #WorldWarI #MemorialVisit #ExploreKC #HistoricalMuseum
