Just arrived in the US and realized the UK is truly a food desert 😭 🍗 bb.q Chicken Ordered Golden Original and Cheesling. The chicken was juicy with a thin, crispy coating—almost as good as Seoul! 🍗 The cheesling flavor was sweet but not as tasty as BHC, and got a bit heavy after a while. The creamy tteokbokki had a perfect sweet-spicy sauce that paired amazingly with the rice cakes 😋. Sweet potato fries were huge! 🍠 🌯 Chipotle Someone’s favorite! Steak with sour cream, white rice, and corn 🌽—a classic Mexican bowl. Decent flavors 😌. 🍛 Chan Kee (Cantonese Style) Got roast duck rice and silky egg beef rice. After tip, it was $33… and both of us were still hungry 😅. Ended up grabbing braised pork rice next door. 🥛 SHAKEN08 Vanilla/Strawberry/Nutella milkshakes—not too sweet, way better than Shake Shack! The staff was super friendly, definitely going back. 🍕 Adriatico’s Pizza Half pepperoni, half Hawaiian 🍕. Sicilian crust was surprisingly crispy and flavorful! Buffalo wings were just okay. 🍦 United Dairy Farmers Salted caramel ice cream—not too salty but super creamy. The chocolate chunks were sweet, and one scoop was massive! Even sharing felt too rich 😂. 🍳 OSU Dining Hall Post-8am lecture fuel! Loved the omelet with cheese and spinach 🧀. 🍩 Cinnabon Two “tiny” cinnamon rolls for $10 🥲. 🍗🥡 bb.q Chicken / Donatos Pizza Braved the rain for takeout on day one—16 Golden Original wings hit the spot 😌. Pro tip: Dip pizza in the rose cream tteokbokki sauce for double deliciousness 😋. 🍴 Kitchen Social CHEDDAR SCALLION BISCUITS—savory butter with scallion biscuit bread, rich and creamy. We were both amazed… already plotting to copy the recipe and make money back home 😎. A must-order starter! BLACKENED SHRIMP CAPELLINI—shrimp pasta that reminded me of Bellagio back in China 🥺. SEARED GERBER FARMS CHICKEN—tender pan-seared chicken leg 🍗 with potatoes and kale in a tangy salad dressing. The Wagas-like vibe and sunset view from the window were gorgeous 🌅. Shoutout to someone for booking a week ahead!
