🇺🇸 Oklahoma | Bizzell Memorial Library 🏛️📚
So glad that the University of Oklahoma’s Bizzell Memorial Library is open to the public for free! 🎉 The campus’s main color scheme actually reminded me of my boarding high school 🎨 The smell of solid wood inside the building instantly brings a sense of calm – I absolutely love reading surrounded by that scent ✨ Paired with the historical campus photos hanging on the walls (old American schools really know how to showcase club histories!), it makes you feel… substantial. 📕 As a National Historic Landmark, the library’s most famous spot is the Great Reading Room 🪑🕯️ Designed in Neo-Gothic style, it’s often called one of the “Harry Potter-style” reading rooms! ⚡ Having visited both Oxford and Cambridge myself, I’d say… that comparison is pretty accurate! 🎓👏 A little tip🧭: The staircase is a mix of old and new. If you go, remember to enter through the old building entrance and use the side stairs, or just ask the part-time volunteers at the front desk. Otherwise, it’s easy to get lost! 🌀 #ArchitecturalBeauty #LibraryLovers #HeavenIsALibrary #Oklahoma #TravelDiary
