🇺🇸 Oregon Summer Road Trip ⛰️

Oregon in summer is truly breathtaking—it has mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas, fulfilling all your travel wishes in one go 👍🏻. Day 1️⃣ Fly from EWR ✈️ to PDX, then spent the day wandering downtown Portland. Bought postcards and limited-edition Kitty merch—total satisfaction 🥰!🏠 Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland: Highly recommended! It’s right in the downtown area, so all the restaurants and shops I visited were within walking distance. Taking the light rail from the airport is convenient too. The front desk even helped with printing, copying, and mailing letters ✉️. Day 2️⃣ Drive from Portland 🚗 to Eugene. Checked out in the morning, took the light rail to the airport to pick up the rental car, then stopped by the nearby Costco to stock up on supplies before heading straight to Highway 101. It was cloudy that day, and the coast looked gloomy—not as beautiful as the photos I’d seen 😢. Cannon Beach Silver Point Interpretive Overlook 🏠 TownePlace Suites Eugene: Nice overall. The studio-style rooms have a kitchen, and breakfast is included (though it’s just okay). Free parking is available 🅿️. Day 3️⃣ Drive from Eugene 🚗 to Crater Lake 🚗 to Bend. Crater Lake is absolutely stunning! The photos make it look blue, but they can’t capture even half of its real beauty. We entered and exited through the north gate, only hiked one trail, and explored the left half of the lake. Bend is a small but charming city—I loved it! Cleetwood Cove Trail Watchman Peak Trailhead, Crater Lake Rim Village Café and Gift Shop 🏠 Best Western Bend North: A bit old, but clean, and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is included (better than the previous hotel’s). Free parking—perfect for a one-night stay 😊. Day 4️⃣ Drive from Bend 🚗 to Portland. It was a day of quick stops. When we got to Trillium Lake, the top of Mount Hood was covered in clouds 😢. Smith Rock State Park Little Crater Lake Trillium Lake Hood River Lavender Farms Multnomah Falls 🏠 Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland Day 5️⃣ Fly from Portland ✈️ to New York. My flight was in the evening. I originally planned to visit the Japanese Garden during the day, but it was closed. So I wandered around the Rose Garden across the street instead, explored the city a bit more, had dinner, then returned the rental car at the airport and waited for my flight. My first road trip in the US went smoothly—it was a perfect end 🍻! #OregonTravel #Oregon #Portland 🌟
