🇺🇸 Portland, Maine: Lighthouses & Ocean Vibes 🌊🔦

Day 7 of my relocation journey ended in Portland, Maine (not Oregon! 🦞). This coastal gem is a paradise for lobster and lighthouse lovers—home to the iconic lobster rolls Boston made famous! Though I’d planned to visit Oregon’s Portland this August, fate brought me here first. And guess what? Maine’s Portland is a charming summer escape worth a day (or more!). 🗺️ Must-Visit Spots: Portland Head Light & Fort Williams Park 📍Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 Maine’s oldest lighthouse (since 1791!) ⚓ White tower + red-roofed keeper’s house (now a mini-museum). Gift shop sells cute affordable magnets 🧲—staffed by sweet retired volunteers! Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse 📍2 Fort Rd, South Portland, ME 04106 One of Portland’s "Big 3" lighthouses 🏗️ Walk the rocky causeway (watch your step!). Plenty parking + nearby community college. Old Port 🏛️ Historic downtown with brick buildings + bustling streets. Parking is tricky—park farther out for cheaper rates! Kettle Cove State Park 📍Kettle Cove Rd, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107 20-min drive from downtown—perfect sunset spot! 🌅 🦞 Lobster Alert: Don’t miss the lobster rolls here—they’re the real deal! Gratitude note: Life’s unpredictable (like intestines wrapping intestines 😂), but I’m thankful for family/friends and this chance to share my travels with you all. Until next time! 🙏 #PortlandMaine #Lighthouses #MaineLobster #EastCoastTravel #SummerGetaway 🦞📸🌅
