🇺🇸 Pretty Meals in Columbus 🍽️✨
With graduation behind me, I’ve started the countdown to leaving Columbus… and without even realizing it, I ended up trying so many beautiful restaurants perfect for dates and gatherings! Here are some highlights: 1️⃣ SoCal Kitchen 📍 On High St. — chic and great for special occasions. Scallops and oysters are must-tries 🦪, and the tacos and steak are solid. Surprisingly loved the cauliflower in the scallop dish too! Cocktails? Not so much 🍸❌. 2️⃣ Lindey’s Perfect for a fancy date night 💫 Friends swear by the lamb and steak, but I went for the halibut — and creme brûlée (can’t go wrong with that!). 3️⃣ La Tavola 🍝 Cozy Italian spot. Tried mushroom, duck, and bolognese pasta — the bolognese won! Their home salad was refreshing (no pic though). Cake was okay, gelato was just fine. 4️⃣ The Pearl Another High St. fine dining gem 💎 Thai mussels were a win 🥘, scallops decent (but I prefer SoCal and Barcelona). Desserts are sweet — the brown sugar pie is for serious sugar cravings! 5️⃣ Tupelo Honey 🍗 Southern brunch vibe! Sweet & spicy chicken and salads hit the spot. 6️⃣ Gallo’s Tap Room Open till midnight — home of the best wings in town 🍗🔥 Wish I’d tried it back when I lived nearby! 7️⃣ La Chatelaine 🥐 French-style brunch — onion soup, escargot, and bakery items are top-tier. The éclair had hazelnut cream (not too sweet!), and the palmier was delicious (even after a cat incident 😼). A Shanghai friend said: “Better than International Hotel!” Sadly too full to try the fruit tart and Napoleon — they looked amazing! 8️⃣ Kura Revolving Sushi 🍣 Polaris’s affordable sushi spot — a Columbus classic! 9️⃣ Yoshi’s Japanese Restaurant 🇯🇵 Solid sushi and dishes (sorry, forgot to snap a pic!). These past two months I’ve explored Columbus more than in two whole years… and I know I’m going to miss it. 💙 #ColumbusEats #OSU #DateNightSpots #FoodieDiary #GraduateEats #PrettyPlates
