šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø Road Trip | South Carolina’s Mountain-Top Chapel & Greenville

ā€œI will lift up my eyes to the hillsā€ — this verse feels like the perfect motto for this trip! šŸŒ„ Let’s talk about the two highlights that made this drive unforgettable: šŸ“ Pretty Place Chapel First, always check the opening hours on the YMCA Camp Greenville website before you go—you don’t want to make the drive for nothing! The journey took nearly 40 minutes on winding, hilly roads… but every minute was worth it when we arrived. This ā€œpretty chapelā€ is magical: each stone pillar acts like a natural picture frame šŸ–¼ļø, framing the mountains and valleys in the distance—softened by a light mist. After a light rain, the air smelled like fresh dirt and grass, and the whole vibe was so peaceful and serene. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to pause, breathe, and soak in the beauty. šŸ“ Greenville (Zoo + Parks + Eats!) Greenville was such a charming stop—here’s what we loved: Greenville ZooYou can explore the whole zoo in 1-2 hours, and it’s packed with cute moments! My favorites were the red pandas 🐼, the giraffes šŸ¦’ (they walked over to me both times I passed their enclosure—we locked eyes for ages!), and the sloths 🦄. There was even a keeper near the sloths giving talks and feeding them—so adorable, I could’ve watched all day! Downtown Greenville City WalkBefore leaving, we wandered Main Street—and it was spotless and so cute! It gave me major Saratoga vibes (cozy, vibrant, and full of character). Since it was the weekend, there were events going on, so the street was lively with people—such a fun atmosphere. Falls Park on the ReedyThis park’s waterfall is stunning! Walking along the paths by the water was so relaxing—perfect for unwinding after the zoo. The greenery and the sound of the falls made it feel like a little oasis in the city 🌊. The Jones Oyster Co.We couldn’t leave without trying this popular spot! I ordered the lobster roll and fried rice—both were delicious šŸ‘. Fair warning: it’s busy on weekends—we waited about 40 minutes for a table, but the food made the wait worthwhile. #USRoadTrip #SouthCarolina #SC #MountainTopChapel #PrettyPlaceChapel #GreenvilleSC
