🇺🇸 San Diego Itinerary Recommendations
I really enjoyed San Diego — not sure if it’s because I was there as a tourist, but the pace felt so much slower, and it was incredibly relaxing. 😌🌴 We stayed two nights, but the itinerary can actually be condensed into one day without being too rushed (unless you’re a late sleeper! 😴). On the first day, we headed to the must-visit La Jolla. At first, we mistakenly navigated to La Jolla Shores Beach 🏖️ and couldn’t find any sea lions, but since we were already there, we sat on the beach for a long time and grew to love it more and more. From Shores Beach, it’s a short drive to La Jolla Cove. Right after parking, we spotted groups of sea lions 🦭 lounging on the rocks! As animal lovers, we were so excited we couldn’t leave — we stayed until sunset 🌅. Besides sea lions, there were also huge flocks of birds — quite a spectacular sight! On the second day, we slept in almost until noon 😅, then followed this route: Balboa Park → Harper’s Topiary Garden → Old Town San Diego → San Diego California Temple → Sea Cliff Coastal Trail in Del Mar → Old Point Loma Lighthouse (if time allows, add Sunset Cliffs!) → Little Italy Unfortunately, the San Diego California Temple was under construction 🚧 during our visit, so we could only view it from outside. Note: Old Point Loma Lighthouse closes at 5:00 PM ⏰. Here are three restaurants worth sharing: 1️⃣ Rockin’ Baja Lobster in Old Town — a popular spot! Delicious, huge portions. Five of us ordered the Big Baja Bucket, tacos, and fried squid… and still couldn’t finish it all! 🦞🌮 2️⃣ Underbelly in Little Italy — Japanese ramen 🍜 My dad liked it so much he kept craving ramen for days after! Rated 4.5 on Google. 3️⃣ Great Maple A Michelin Bib Gourmand-recommended brunch spot 🥞☕ with a 4.6 Google rating. #USA #TravelUSA #California #VisitCalifornia #San Diego #TravelTips #FoodieAdventure 🌊
