🇺🇸 Seaside Heights & Atlantic City, NJ – A Weekend Escape 🏖️

We recently visited two nearby beach spots over the weekend: 🌅 Seaside Heights The beach here is clean and surrounded by lots of fun attractions! Taking the little cable car at dusk was absolutely beautiful — watching the sunset over the ocean 🌊❤️ There were also plenty of tasty snacks: the hot dog stand across from the cable car tickets was delicious, and we loved the fried Oreos and orange-flavored ice cream from a local pizza shop 🍦😋 Since it's close, we just did a day trip — but we’d love to stay overnight next time! 🎰 Atlantic City We planned a relaxing weekend by the sea and booked a room at Tropicana. At check-in, they offered a room upgrade. At first, we thought, "Why pay extra?" — but when we saw our original room, we were shocked 😳 It was small and had weird color schemes. So we trekked back through the casino and upgraded after all. The new room was much better — spacious with a nice ocean view 🌊🪟 As for the beach: it’s free, but a bit dirty 🥲 Bird poop everywhere, and some trash in the water. The food stands on the Boardwalk didn’t impress us — my friend tried a pizza 🍕 and nearly threw up. My ice cream wasn’t great either — ended up tossing it after two bites. Dinner at Pho Sydney (which came recommended) tasted okay, but the service was disappointing. We arrived early, waved and called for attention, and were told “5 minutes” — but waited 20. People who came later were served before us 😤 We were so annoyed we almost skipped the tip, but ended up giving 20% in a rush — only to regret it later. I was so mad I punched the air on the street 😅💸 We didn’t gamble — neither of us knows how to play 🎲♠️ Not sure if we’ll be back to Atlantic City anytime soon 😬 #AmericanLife #NewJersey #WeekendGetaway
