In my younger days I went there with my Grandparents and loved watching the horse & rider jump off the pier into the Ocean! I was there on my 13th Birthday and Grandmom & Grandpop approached the limo with Ricky & David, Ozzie & Harriet Nelson telling Ricky that it was my Birthday and he touched my head wishing me a Happy Birthday! I did keep the family traditions of trips to the Shores of the Atlantic Ocean in tact as I had a family of my own. Honeymooned at the Thunderbird in Wildwood, N.J. in 1968, took my children there many times. We used to start at Asbury Park, (it cost 50 cents to walk across the sand to get to the ocean)! Bruce Springsteen was playing in clubs back then (local boy made good)! I liked the paddle boats rides for the kids. We'd work our way down the coast, Margate, (the Elephant shaped Restaurant was unique! Wildwood, Cape May (loved watching the watermen leaving at dawn from Cape May). For 3 years in a row at Atlantic City I picked Miss America out as they were escorted into the Convention Center, CORRECTLY! I'm not a gambler, but I just enjoyed that I guessed the right ladies for 3 years! A lot of good memories, all these years, along the Atlantic Coast, from New York to South Carolina! Did you know that Mary Sue Candy Company, located in Baltimore, Maryland (my hometown) actually make the Salt Water Taffy! I used to walk right by the plant, located just outside of Pigtown, Baltimore City (so named because the pigs were taken off the trains there bound for the...
Read moreWebsite said we could fly 3 on each plane and my friend group was 6. Got there and they told us it would be easier FOR THEM if we did 2/2/2. Right before we went outside we said we still wanted to do 3/3 and the lady inside said she thinks that can happen. We go outside and wait for our turns then ask the two nice young men working if we can do 3/3 and they said it’s okay. My 3 friends load up and right before take off the Tony Hawk wanna be comes running up to the helicopter screaming at the two young men that it’s only 2 per ride. How embarrassing for them and the company because he didn’t have to tell the way he did. I’m also pretty sure he was drunk or just has a really annoying personality. Only giving two stars because I feel bad for the two young men and the lady inside that has to deal with the low...
Read moreGreat experience ruined by very mean staff! We weren't allowed to take any pictures of us so we had to pay for a print but they didn't give us time to pose and look normal! my wife's eyes is closed and she looks stupid so when asking if we could re do it as its our only picture memory he said you shouldn't have printed it if you didn't like it but they didn't give us the choice to say if we liked it or not as we bought a package before going on the helicopter! The manger was really un interested in helping us and now we have no pictures of us! So my advice to people going don't buy the photo as the package buy it separately cos if you don't like it you don't have waste your money and a...
